SMS Provider FAQ's

Why do I need to register a brand and campaign?

Carriers require all businesses sending A2P (Application-to-Person) messages to register their brand and campaign. This helps reduce spam and ensures message delivery. Without it,  you won’t be able to send sms using your phone numbers. Only calling will be available

What happens if my campaign gets suspended?

If your campaign is suspended, all messages from that number will stop delivering. For platforms like Twilio or Textgrid, this can also affect multiple sub-accounts. That’s why Flow Fusion recommends having a backup provider like Signal SMS ready to go.

Can I switch providers later without losing my contacts or data?

Yes! Your data lives inside Flow Fusion CRM. Switching providers won’t affect your leads or automations. You’ll just need to reconnect your number and re-submit A2P registration for the new provider.

What kind of content can get my campaign suspended?

Messages that include restricted products (like CBD), aggressive language, misleading claims, or lack opt-out instructions are common triggers. Even if it seems “clean,” carriers ultimately decide what gets flagged — so it’s best to stay compliant and conversational.

Can I use my existing business phone number for SMS?

Usually not. SMS providers require a dedicated number that’s A2P-approved. However, you can forward incoming calls from that number to your main line so customers can still reach you by phone.

Is it possible to use multiple providers for redundancy?

Yes — and it’s highly recommended. If one provider experiences a block or downtime, having a secondary provider (like Signal House or SMS365) ensures your messages keep going out without interruption.

Do I need to load SMS credits separately

It depends: Signal House is fully integrated — no extra login required. Twilio and Textgrid require separate logins to manage billing, numbers, and A2P registrations.

Which provider should I choose if I’m just starting out?

Signal House: Good balance of cost, speed, and ease.
